What we text, and to whom

Build Source sends transactional and account-related text messages only. We never send marketing or promotional texts, and we never text anyone who has not given us their own number and confirmed it with a code we sent.

Homeowners who submit a request through Build Source

• a 6-digit verification code, when you enter your number
• a confirmation of your request with its reference number, once your consent is recorded
• one short follow-up about 30 days after a contractor first reaches you (or after your request, if no call connected), asking whether the work went ahead and how the contractor performed

Up to 3 messages per request, plus a fresh code if you ask us to resend one.

Contributors

• a 6-digit code each time you sign in
• a notice when a contractor first contacts a homeowner you introduced, the outcome of that job, and the date a referral fee falls due

Roughly one message per event on a referral you made; frequency varies with your activity.

Contractors receive no text messages. Contractor notifications are delivered in the Build Source app only.

How you opt in

You give us your own mobile number, on your own device. We display the consent wording below and text you a 6-digit code. Entering that code is the affirmative act that records your consent, and we store the exact wording you saw, its version, and the date and time.

Homeowners — displayed on the request screen before the code is sent:

By continuing you agree that up to your chosen number of contractors may call or text you about your project, and that BuildSource may text you about this request — including by automated means. Your details are shared only with those contractors. Consent isn't a condition of any purchase, and you can reply STOP any time.

"Your details" means the service you asked for and the property location. Your phone number is never given to a contractor — they reach you through a Build Source number.

Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services.

How you opt out

Reply STOP to any Build Source text. We also honour the standard variants — STOP ALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT — and any wording a reasonable person would read as asking us to stop. You can also email [email protected]. We act immediately on receipt, and in every case within 10 business days.

You will receive one final message confirming you have been unsubscribed, and no further texts will be sent to that number.

For a homeowner, stopping also closes your request: the Build Source number that connected contractors to you is disconnected, and no further contractor can claim your request. Contractors you have already spoken to and given your own details to are outside Build Source and are not affected.

Your mobile information

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, other than the service providers that process them on our instructions.

A homeowner's phone number is never given to a contractor. When a contractor you chose contacts you, the connection is made through a Build Source-controlled number; the contractor does not see your number and you do not see theirs.
